Travelling Oslob - Day1

The best hangovers are the ones you get from being drunk with nature.

Oslob is place in cebu where we did some pretty amazing things, amazing enough to make me say, amazeballs. Let me tell you the drunkenness ive experienced here.

No alcohol included, and believe me its a good thing because throughout the entire trip waking up early in the morning is my main problem.

To get to Oslob, we took a plane to cebu and took a van from there. the travel time is approximately 3-4 hours. though i was not able to count it, aside from having a low battery cellphone, i was too hungry to even think about it. So in between those 3-4 hr ride, there was a dinner that happened inside it.

After arriving at the guesthouse that we rented, sleep was the next thing we all wanted.

Call time the next day was 7am, it was a 15 min walk from the guesthouse to the port where bluewater sumilon guests would take a boat going to the island. there will be an orientation for the guidelines here.

the island is equipped with so many activities but in my opinion, these activities can be done in a whole day.(that's what we did)  Unless you want to experience the "glamping" or glamorous camping they offer for only 9-12k (glamping link here, blaaah), id suggest you take the daytrip.

The first thing we did was roam around the island via hiking.  They have a path for the trekking, which we followed. but we wouldnt get around without the help of our human GPS/tourguide, Brian.

lagoon, topview.

we found many things along the way.

a small cave, a lighthouse, a ruin, and the a lot of breath taking views.

i pussied halfway through.

After the long walk through the rough terrain, it was time to swim! yey!

If this is some kind of joke, it's not funny! And I know funny, I'm a clownfish!
Oh yes, they found these guys in these shores. (was sleeping around the time they were snorkeling, just had lunch sorry.)

After swimming, we found the kayaks. Raced while struggling to know how to paddle. we're badass.
boys will be boys
around noon, we opted to swim in their infinity pool.

The mandatory group shot before leaving.

decided to separate Day2 but it will follow soon, duty calls!

A Call For Some Little Consideración

i have so many friends in facebook asking where PNOY is. i was left wondering too but not about the whereabouts off the president of pilipinas but as to what they were imagining that he is doing. "Are they thinking that the president is at malacanang, donning his pjs and sipping a hot chocolate tablea?" damn thats messed up. as if they were doing something productive not just facing the laptop, feeling its warmth and complain on facebook.

isnt it a basic rule that at war or even at normal times, you dont expose the general? when youre playing chess you dont expose the king and make him annihilate the opponents pieces(as if).

i know they were just wondering and i dont want to bash them. but then again these are the same people who complains when some official is doing a public service and they post a picture of it. ah yeah. EPAL is what we call them.

Below are some definitions of EPAL courtesy of the urban dictionary.

1. EPAL

(Adjective)A person who goes into a situation wherein his presence is not needed or in a place he does not belong. This person may be annoying or not in that instance.
(Tagalog)
Boy 1:"Anong ginagawa niyang gagong yan diyan?"
Boy 2:"Wala. Epal na naman."

(English)
Boy 1:"What's the hell is that fool doin' there?"
Boy 2:"Nothing. Epal again."
2. EPAL
-One who likes to butt in on others
-an "extra," like in a film but this word isn't necessarily used for that situation
-derived from the Filipino term "papel" or "pumapel" which means one who likes to always be in the scene or be given attention in things that don't concern them.
Bakit ka ba umeepal sa barkada namin?! Ang epal mo talaga! (Why are you going with our gang?! You don't even belong here! You're such an epal!)
Ang epal talaga ni Christina, wala naman siyang kinalaman dun sa show eh. (Christina is such an epal, she doesn't have anything to do with the show).

Dont worry, i have the same sentiments too. i am also wondering what he might be doing. but im not asking as if im assuming that he is doing nothing at the moment. i have considered that this person, noynoy banoy, is the type of person that doesnt want his deeds to go public (yet).

But please, we all know that those who are online (like me) at the moment the disaster is lingering at our country, are doing nothing but sit in front of the computer. just plain observing through the pictures published at the social networking sites. please stop complaining and consider that not everything posted captures the whole picture and not everything in the picture is legit.

Just like Nong Poy's google images.
