Hi, yesterday [12/12/2011]  was our happy ten. it was the tenth year anniversary of the day she said yes to be mine. err..well she just nodded when i asked her, hell that was yes enough for me.

My Anthea is currently residing in Berkshire in England.  So you may ask how we celebrated our anniversary. Simple. Skype! [facetime wouldnt work with my sun sim]

Initially my plan was to cook for my family and have dinner [and her on lunch] while "skype-ing" but the circumstances did not permit it. and besides i think that she will terribly miss being here if i did that, i didnt want her to shed a tear of longing on our anniversary.  However i was expecting to see her tears of joy yesterday because I ordered a bouquet a teddy bear[my first time giving her one] and there's also a free chocolate [she doesnt know its free, shhh]

BUT it turned out that the delivery messed up and scheduled it on the 13th.

okay this is the story behind it.

[around 845am, uk time]
-i ordered online at http://www.prestigeflowers.co.uk [the site says that i should order before 4pm for next day delivery]

-after ordering i checked my tracking number. unfortunately there was no order found.

[10AM UK]
-i frantically searched for the customer service number or anything and mailed them bout the situation.
-mailed again.
-and mailed again.
-and again.
-you might be wondering, i am aware that there is a lag in this kind of transactions as i deal with these kind of things at work, but my problem is i am a virgin credit card user [my own, ive used my dad's cc extension two or three..maybe more times before] but this is my account, my card we are talking about and that is a hard earned money people. imagine the price of their flowers compared to the Philippine Dangwa Flower Association prices. so yeah, i was panickey.

-no luck, no reply. [take note this was a sunday that is why there was nothing.  tanginang tanga ko]
-i called my cc provider. then they confirmed that transaction was done. [yea they charged first before confirming the order details for the customer]

ok back to the story.

-i didnt track my order after confirming with my cc provider. i was confident about the details and also i placed my good faith that everything is alright. after all, their site says it all.. "prestige"

- i went to sleep at around 3 pm, UK..11pm Philippines.

everything was normal at the office. so let's fast forward to our skype moment..

she went home to London, her granny's home btw. and this is the address i placed for the order to be delivered.

we were both kinda excited, i told her that i sent a package via fedex, which i hope will charge her as the fedex she sent charged me. [in another story]

i was not planning on tracking the order until the excitement to see her face light up pushed me to.

-i checked the tracking number. it was there.

-then we talked, laughed, stared into nothing, but we didnt cry. pfft. thats for pussies.i aint no pussy.

Pussy.

-again my coinfidence was back, "she will receive that flower, for our tenth!"

-then time passed, "dingdong" i jokingly said that onomatopoeic sound. trying to kid myself that the parcel arrived.

-the joke was still a joke until i started to be bothered. i checked the site again. double checked. until i saw...

-i was devastated.

about to cry. but naaah.

i tried everything, even though i know everything was for naught.

ending:
-she did not receive the flowers on the 12th.

- if only they showed my order details right after they charged me, i couldve changed the delivery date into the 12th. even if its their fault. i mean how the hell will i miss the date?! 10 friggin years.

but then. no use crying over spilled milk. time to plan the damage control

now the plan is to change the delivery address to slough, the place she is going to be in by the 13th.

and it is done.

as of this moment, i am waiting for her to arrive home to slough. the parcel was delivered at 0831, she shouldnt be home by this time. so when she arrives, i am hoping that she will be surprised.
